About State of Society Committee
The State of Society Committee writes New York Yearly Meeting's annual State of Society Report, which is published in the Advance Reprots for Summer Sessions, is read at Summer Sessions, and is then published in the annual Yearbook.
The Committee works with state of the meeting reports submitted by local meetings and worship groups to inform its own document. Ministry Coordinating Committee decides at Fall Sessions on queries to be sent to the local meetings as possible guides for their state of the meeting reports shortly aftwards, asking local meetings to submit their reports early in the next year. The Committee brings a draft of the State of Society Report to Spring Sessions for review by Ministry Coordinating Committee.
The State of Society Committee does not have a Handbook page.
